Professor Peter Horby, Professor of Emerging Infectious Diseases and Global Health, has said that dexamethasone is the ‘only drug shown to reduce mortality’. His comments come the touting of other ‘miracle’ cures such as hydroxychloroquine which was controversially backed by President Trump earlier this year.
